『Get a health examination once a year!』

The Accenture Health Insurance Society subsidizes expenses for various health examinations in order to support its members’ maintenance and improvement of health and disease pevention.
The health checkups items include the periodic health checkups items stipulated by the Industrial Safety and Health Act (statutory health checkups items) as well as checkups items added in accordance with the instructions of an industrial physician as the standard inspection items. Furthermore, there are also optional examination items that allow for individual care.
The health checkups system allows eligible people to receive a checkup throughout the fiscal year (from April to the following March) at a time that is convenient for the member. Note that the Accenture Health Insurance Society recommends Recommended month health checkups.
Everyone wants to stay healthy for as long as they can. Make sure to confirm the status of your health through the health checkups once a year and use the information gained in your daily life. If you receive any instructions in the health checkups results such as making improvements to your lifestyle, particularly if it involves a re-examination or detailed examination, please try to have the self-discipline to live a healthy life based on those instructions.

About Health checkups

Period of medical examination

From April 1st to March 31st of the following year

Eligible person

Insured person who are members of Accenture Health Insurance Society and their dependents (Age 23 or over *excluding students) are eligible.

New employees eligible for medical checkup

• For those who have undergone a medical checkup of hiring company in the fiscal year of Accenture health insurance society*, it is not mandatory to undergo a regular medical checkup (general medical checkup or one-day medical checkup) in the same fiscal year of the Accenture Health Insurance Society.**
• If you voluntarily undergo a regular health checkup, you will receive incentive points for the checkup and the results of the checkup.
• Please note that the results of the medical checkup conducted by the company will not be reflected in Accenture health insurance society's health checkup result management system.

Basic Courses

The insured person and dependents take any of the basic courses corresponding to the respective age. (Mandatory)

Medical checkup costs are basically borne by Accenture Health Insurance Society.
* Undergoing health checkup at some contracted medical institutions which are exceed the subsidy amount of Accenture Health Insurance Society, please use points or cash for the excess portion that exceedsthe subsidy amount of Accenture Health Insurance Society.

Attention: Health Checkups for which the costs borne by Accenture Health Insurance Society are once fiscal year (every year from April to March of the following year).

Option Examination

Required inspection items

Submission to the proprietor of the results of the medical examination
Only the insured person(excluding voluntary continuation of insured person)

The insurance society will inform the proprietor of the results of the medical examination (only statutory medical check items).
The proprietor will use the submission of the results of the medical examination (only statutory medical check items) as a substitute for the regular (statutory) medical examination conducted by the proprietor.

Contracted Medical Institutions

Information on contracted medical examination institutions including characteristics and available optional examination items is displayed in the Health Checkups Reservation System (can only be accessed by the insured).

Application method（Only the dependents）

Dependents can apply by either of the following methods.（The insured makes a reservation registration by clicking "Reserve" or "Apply" in "Health Checkups Reservation System" after logging in "Health Service Portal Site."）

Information on contracted medical examination institutions including characteristics and available optional examination items is displayed in the Health Checkups Reservation System (can only be accessed by the insured). If you wish to receive a health checkups, first select the medical examination institution, and make a reservation on your own.

(1) If requesting the insured to make a reservation registration

The insured makes a reservation registration by clicking "Reserve" or "Apply" in "Health Checkups Reservation System" after logging in "Health Service Portal Site."

*The procedure is the same as when the insured makes a reservation registration for their own health examination. If the insured is not sure of the procedure, please tell them to inquire as follows.

(2) If making the reservation registration yourself

Call the medical examination institutions directly, fill in the details of the reservation in the [Health Checkups] Reservation Details and Specified Health Checkups, Specific Health Guidance Questions , and send or fax this document to the Accenture Health Insurance Society.

In either case (1) or (2), the Accenture Health Insurance Society will send the health checkup approval notification. Please bring your health insurance card with you when you receive your examination at the Medical examination institution where you made the reservation. (If you have a point reservation for an optional examination item, it is not necessary to pay at the counter at the institution. Note that if you add an optional item on the day of the examination, the additional portion will have to be settled in cash at the counter at the institution.)

Secondary examination

Non-contracted Medical Institutions

The Accenture Health Insurance Society has a contract with a medical institution that meets the requirements for medical checkups, including the required examination items, and in principle, the medical checkups should be conducted at the contracted medical institution.
However, if you need to have health checkups at non-contracted medical institution due to special circumstances, please be sure to contact the Health Insurance Association (kenpo@accenture-kenpo.jp) in advance. Depending on individual circumstances, we will subsidize the costs after the fact.

The following two points are applicable to special circumstances.

Cost burden rules when visiting a medical institution outside the contract

The cost borne by Accenture Health Insurance Society is limited to the subsidy amount determined based on the fees of all contracted medical examination institutions.

Only the cost of periodic medical checkup items specified in the Industrial Safety and Health Law will be subsidized. (Statutory health checkup items)

Enticement from the Health Insurance Society to undergo a health checkup

Accenture Health Insurance Society encourages insured persons and dependens to have annual health checkups as early as possible by offering the following incentive points to those who have health checkups.

FAQ

Are options such as brain thorough health examinations available?

The Accenture Health Insurance Society actively promotes health management and disease prevention.
The types of checkups available are becoming more varied as examination equipment becomes more advanced. To ensure that the cafeteria points that are granted to the insured are used effectively, they can be used to assist with examinations such as CTs, and Yumor markers.

Is the security of individual personal examination results protected?

Medical examination institution and the Accenture Health Insurance Society both fulfill confidentiality obligations. Employers are obligated to conduct a statutory health checkups on their employees once every year under the Industrial Safety and Health Act. The Accenture Health Insurance Society aggregates the results of the statutory health checkups items and reports them to the employer. The Accenture Health Insurance Society aggregates health checkups results in order to gain an understanding of the health condition of the insured of Accenture Health Insurance Society and works to implement programs that will be useful for the health management of members after consulting with industrial physicians.

I decided that I would like to receive an additional optional examination on the day of my thorough physical examination. Can I use cafeteria points?

There is also a wide variety of optional health checkups items. As the optional items that the Accenture Health Insurance Society has contracted with each medical examination institution are stated on the Accenture Health Insurance Society site, it is possible to decide on these items in advance when making a reservation. For this reason, if you receive an optional health checkups that you did not make a reservation for on that day, you will have to pay the costs to the medical examination institution on that day.

Is it possible to receive an examination at a hospital other than a contracted medical examination institution?

A health checkups should be received at a contracted medical examination institution. The Accenture Health Insurance Society has decided on the necessary health checkups items based on the advice of industrial physicians and public health nurses, and the contracted medical examination institution cover these items. In addition, the prices are lower than standard prices.

Can a complete physical checkups be received two times in a year?

While it may become necessary to receive an health checkups two times per year as you become older, the Accenture Health Insurance Society offers assistance once every fiscal year (from April through March of the following year). However, please consult with the Accenture Health Insurance Society regarding the second screening as cafeteria points can be used.

I am receiving specific health guidance based on the results from the health checkups during the previous fiscal year. Can I receive a health examination during this fiscal year?

No, you cannot receive a health checkups. Please receive a health checkups after the completion of specific health guidance (Three months).

Are secondary screenings also supported by the Health Insurance Society?

No. Secondary screenings are a health care expense covered by health insurance.

May I accompany my child along ?

No, most medical institutions do not have nursery facilities or children's waiting space. So, for safety reasons, we do not allow guests to accompany child.
If you would like to accompany your child by all means, please confer with the medical institution by yourself when you make a reservation.

Before I joined Accenture, I underwent a medical checkup of the time of hiring.

*	The fiscal year of all health insurance societies is from April to March of the following year, in accordance with the Japanese fiscal year, because all health insurance association are a public corporation approved by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare.
**	** Example of not being a regular checkup in the same year：If you had a medical checkup at the time of employment in March 2021(2020 fiscal year), you need to have a regular medical checkup from 2021/4 to 2022/3(2021 fiscal year)
